PADI Divemaster Course

The PADI Divemaster Course - your first step to becoming a professional. PADI Divemaster

Please Note:

The Airlie Beach PADI Training facility does not do training to Divemaster level. Courses are now run in Cairns in conjunction with cruises to the Great Barrier Reef in the Cairns area.

"Divemaster" is the first level of the PADI "Professional" ratings. As a PADI Divemaster you will hold the minimum rating for employment in the Diving Industry. This qualification allows you to supervise recreational diving activities either boat or land based or work as an instructional assistant on any PADI courses. It is also the minimum pre requisite for enrollment in a PADI Instructor course (IDC).

The 17 day course is a mixture of theory sessions and practical diving skill development and expansion in both the pool and the open sea. The course includes 2 x 3 day 2 night liveaboard dive trips to the outer Great Barrier Reef and is designed to give you the maximum practicla understanding and experience as possible. Over these 2 trips you will complete up to 20 training and recreational dives. Recreational dives will add to your Dive Instructor pre-requisite dives.
